Bishop Bob and the Franciscans of the Eucharist are actively engaging with various Catholic and Christian communities by leading retreats and speaking at parishes. They encourage groups interested in hosting them to reach out via email for scheduling discussions.
The Franciscans recently organized a confirmation retreat attended by approximately 400 teenagers, supported by 125 adults. The event featured talks, small group sessions, Adoration, confession opportunities, a Eucharistic healing procession, Mass, live music, games, and more. St. Ignatius College Prep hosted this event.
Another retreat was held for over 200 children in the northern suburbs with participation from seminarians from the Diocese of Rockford. This retreat also included talks, small group activities, games, Mass, Adoration time, and confession.
A significant event took place on March 16th at St. Ignatius College Prep for nearly 300 students. Volunteers from multiple states contributed to its success along with speakers and priests who facilitated reconciliation services. Opera Christi musicians also participated.
Additionally, around 225 children from Elgin, Illinois attended a retreat led by Sr. Jess, Sr. Stephanie, and Sr. Macey with assistance from postulants Mia, Maggie, and Jen.
On February 11th at St. Ignatius College Prep again hosted almost 400 confirmandi for another successful retreat featuring talks on personal desires related to faith themes like Jesus and the Eucharist along with confession sessions.
