The Rev. Karen Georgia Thompson, General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ (UCC), is launching a new video blog titled "Natural Spirituali-teas." This series will feature her perspectives on spirituality, including interviews, sermons, and speeches. The aim is to provide viewers with insights into how the Spirit influences lives.

"We are spiritual people on a journey of faith," said Thompson. She expressed her hope that through this platform, participants can learn and grow together spiritually. "Our traditions have included the ways we are spiritually formed and the spiritual practices that are a part of our daily lives."

Thompson emphasized the importance of spiritual formation as part of faith: "There are many spiritual practices that nurture our souls, strengthen our faith, and strengthen our connections to God and to one another." She hopes listeners will feel affirmed in their current practices or discover new ones.

The first episode will air on April 9 on the UCC YouTube channel. It features an interview with Rev. James Bhagwan from Fiji's Pacific Conference of Churches. Subsequent parts will follow during the week of April 14, with more episodes planned for release in the coming months.

Tea plays a central role in these videos. Thompson shared her cultural connection to tea: "I come from a culture where teas and infusions are used to heal and promote wellness." She plans to share tea recipes as part of her contribution to this series.
