Chicago Public Library launches summer program for all ages
Chris Brown Commissioner | Chicago Public Library

The Chicago Public Library (CPL) is set to host a summer program from June 21 to August 3, catering to various age groups with activities and events.

For children aged 0-13 and their families, CPL invites participation in reading and creative activities as part of the Summer at CPL initiative.

Teens are encouraged to engage in the program by completing tasks listed on the Pick 4 card. Completing four activities allows participants to claim a prize at their local library branch. Each set of completed activities provides an entry into a raffle, with a chance to win a grand prize at the end of summer. Activities can be reported either in person or through an online form.

Adults can join the summer festivities starting with the Go Green Fair on June 25th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Harold Washington Library Center. The event will feature eco-friendly volunteer organizations, workforce development opportunities, music performances, and special summer swag.

Those unable to attend can visit any CPL branch for the new Adult Program Guide & Log. By completing six activities, adults can earn prizes and enter a branch-specific raffle.

Throughout the summer, CPL will offer various events for all ages across the city.
