The United Church of Christ (UCC) news team is set to launch a live, daily talk show at the 35th General Synod. This year's event will take place from July 11-15 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The talk show, named GS LIVE, will be available for streaming on the UCC YouTube page every day from 11:30 AM to Noon CST, beginning Friday, July 11. The program will be co-hosted by Charles Jefferson, news director for UCC News, and Donna Frischknecht Jackson, UCC’s communication specialist.

The show's guests will discuss the General Synod theme of “going into the deep” and share stories of innovation and hope within the denomination. Viewers are encouraged to participate by submitting their reflections on how they are engaging with ministry's deeper aspects. These submissions can be sent via email to Donna Frischknecht Jackson at jacksond@ucc.org.

Jackson expressed enthusiasm about the initiative: “The talk show is going to be a wonderful opportunity to bring to the UCC family a closer look at the hearts of those who are working so hard to make a just world for all. Our time together will be a time of sharing the joy and hope that are present always amid the challenges.”

GS LIVE will continue its broadcast through July 15 and can be accessed live each day at https://www.youtube.com/@uccvideos.
