The United Church of Christ (UCC) news team encountered logistical and technical challenges during the live streaming of GS LIVE, a new talk show produced by UCC News. This occurred on the opening day of the 35th General Synod.
Despite these issues, the show continued as planned. The first guest on GS LIVE was Rev. Lorraine Ceniceros, conference minister for the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference. The inaugural episode took place on July 11.
GS LIVE co-hosts Charles Jefferson, UCC news director, and Donna Frischknecht Jackson, UCC communications specialist, led a conversation with Ceniceros in a makeshift studio at the convention center. During the discussion, Ceniceros shared her thoughts related to this year’s Synod theme: going into the deep and where she sees "the big God picture."
Ceniceros also showed her fan that helps her stay cool in Kansas City's summer heat.
New episodes of GS LIVE will be available throughout Synod at ucc.org/news.
