Thanks to community partners, McGaw YMCA members can access alternative swimming facilities during the annual pool closure.
From August 9 to 15, members can use the North Suburban YMCA pool in Northbrook as part of their YMCA Nationwide Membership benefit. Reservations for swim times are available by calling 847-272-7250.
Between August 9 and September 2, Westminster Place will offer its pool to McGaw YMCA members at no charge. Members should call 847-570-3422 for same-day booking. It is important to note that there will be no lifeguard on duty at Westminster Place.
Additionally, YWCA Evanston/North Shore provides lap swim times at a reduced rate of $7 per session from August 9 to September 2. Available slots are Monday from 1:00-3:00 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
The usual reciprocity with Northwestern University’s pool is unavailable this year due to their closure from July 31 to September 7. More options may be announced as they become available.
