A free back-to-school event is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Marine Leadership Academy, located at 1920 N Hamlin Ave. The event aims to support families as students prepare for the upcoming school year.
Attendees will have access to backpacks and school supplies at no cost. The event will also offer haircuts for students and provide dental and pediatric services on site. In addition to these resources, there will be food, music, bouncy houses, and other activities designed for families.
The initiative seeks to help students start the school year prepared while offering a range of services in a community setting.
