The McGaw YMCA in Evanston, Illinois, is preparing for its annual Healthy Kids & Families Day event. Scheduled for Friday, April 25, 2025, the event will run from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. It aims to launch the spring season with activities centered around health, wellness, and family enjoyment.
The event this year will feature a "Sportstastic" theme, including carnival games and opportunities for photos and autographs with athletes from Evanston Township High School and Special Olympics participants.
Several activities are planned for the event:
- A Family Gym with a bounce house and other activities
- A Family Swim session, which requires advance sign-up
- The Kids Club Stay & Play for supervised playtime for younger children
- Board games and arts and crafts
- A glow-in-the-dark family dance party
- A viewing of "Space Jam" beginning at 5:45 PM
This event is free and open to the public. While general admission does not require registration, it is requested. Those interested in participating in the Family Swim must register in advance by emailing [email protected] or calling 847-475-7400, option 1.
Participants are encouraged to save the date for a memorable night at the McGaw YMCA.
